Update!

Hellllooo Everyone!

We are back from a very long and much needed vacation! I promised you a lighter variety of blogs and so it shall be!

The vacation was fantastic. Although much of the weight I lost, I gained (and it was a wonderful gain, might I add lol) so back to gym I go! Especially with winter slowly creeping around the corner.... It was absolutely wonderful to spend so much time with family and friends. Extremely bittersweet to have to leave but the joy we recieved out of spoiling our friends and family was amazing. However, next year will be a tad different. Hubby and I came back exhausted and still in need of some relaxation and intimate time together so next year we may just skip the whole Florida for 3 weeks thing lol No offense, fam & friends. We def will still make a trip out there to visit but then.. it's off!

Coming back to work for the first few days has been a bit hellish but it's ok cuz I run shit. I came back from vacation energized and ready to take on whatever path it is that will materialize. You can thank my new spirit to the amazing husband, family, and more family I have. They are my stars and my rocks.

SooOoO my new obsessions:

Online Shopping- No, like seriously. I need therapy. From make up, to renting runway clothing, to house decorations, to designer clothing on sale, to books, to international food markets. I have a problem. lol

Short Stories- Expect to see some wild variety in posts.

Poetry Album- thanks to my extremely talented husband (collabo!!!)

Writing Books- I am dabbling in a bit of fiction. Since I talk so much trash about Twilight (from its concept to its writing to pretty much everything) I am going to back it up and try to write a real Vampire novel. Or at least the reality I percieve it should be. I also am feeling inspired to try to write a very classic love story with a modern spin. hmm.. we'll see.

Anime- Always has been an obsession but I have two brand new ones, the entire season, to watch. According to my husband, I'll finish them in a few days lol

Talib Kweli, Selena Gomez, & Ella Fitzgerald- Ok, so anyone who knows me already knows I am already obsessed with Talib Kweli, but lately it has gotten worse. I think it's all his tweets. I can't help but always and forever fall in love with every album he drops. He is one of, if not the, most poetic hip hop artist that can still murder any track he's on no matter the context or the style. He NEVER disappoints.

Selena Gomez is a relatively new obsession. Why? I absolutely love her sound. Whether or not she is the BEST singer ever, is obviously not the case, but I love her sound and how she is willing to bravely still sing live and improve on her sound, the genuine adoration she has for her fans, her subtle yet sexy look, her acting, her dedication to UNICEF and creating an entire organic and "green" clothing line, and her undeniable talent to stay out of the tabloids. Not to mention, she is proud of her heritage and pays tribute to it. I love it. She isn't trying to be edgy or break out of being that disney tween star, she has def grown but has shown resistance in trying to become so sexy and grown that she looks slutty. I love it!
