Someone please hate new mexico more than me?
I am but a puppet to my heart's passion
In the crudeness of the night
Truth and shadows mimic the twilight
And things that hide in the light
Become plainly and vividly in sight
There is a rawness to utter darkness
It is, in my opinion, what many fear
Because inside your head, free of noise, it is a coward that always appears
As dawn lifts the sky and the sunlight draws near
Your reality begins. Enjoy your life of sin.

"This passion, this burn, this fire... it will consume me eventually."
Me, myself, & my mic

"My touch sets the pace as I lace my fingers around it's thin waist, and my voice sends static music that hypnotizes you without a choice, and my words? Oh, my words. They are the potency behind my sweet lips poetic bite. Just me, myself, & my mic.
Self Portrait
My fingers itch with passion
My mind yearns for truth
My heart screams for compassion
Live with purpose
Fight for a cause
Find reason for each breath you take
Because everyone dies
But not everyone lives

To My Family & Friends
There is no other being that has graced this earth, that is as lucky as me to have found you. Thank you & I love you eternally.
You are my inspiration. And a very special note to my mother, an angel, a miracle, a goddess.

Hip Hop
Hip-hop had a heartbeat. It had a soul. It was a way of life that gave birth to each and every poet, dancer, creative person that roamed the earth with something to say and that something mattered. And people listened and understood and felt the heartbeat and saw truth in lyrics that caressed the beat and felt purpose in the culture that gave birth to a new era….. hip hop. We miss you.

Fear
I do not fear death but I fear inadequateness and lack of purpose run amiss.
I do not fear hurt but I fear the rejection of a kiss
I do not fear life but fear lack thereof.
I do not fear sacrifice but I fear the broken promise of love
I do not fear being alone but I fear loneliness
I do not fear politics but I fear the potency of my eloquence
I do not fear society but I fear its silence
I do not fear change but I fear the fall of a white picket fence
I do not fear blood but I fear my reflection after I have pulled the trigger
I do not fear racism but I fear the ignorance of a black man that still refers to himself as a nigger
I do not fear the sweat of hard work but I fear laziness
I do not fear the darkness but I fear the whispers of the selfish temptress
I do not fear war but I fear the cries of parentless children
I do not fear a bullet but I fear the words that bleed on my paper from my pen
I do not fear failure but I fear the lesson not learned
I do not fear man but I fear his greed and his evil well earned
I do not fear experience but I fear regret
I do not fear the scorn from mere eyes but I fear that my name they will never forget
I do not fear my anger but I fear for those that unleash it
I do not fear hate but I fear the ones that have been taught to embrace it
I do not fear my talents but I fear their limitlessness
I do not fear mistakes but I fear the weak that refuse forgiveness
I do not fear knowledge but I fear the misconstrued
I do not fear what I cannot understand but I fear the liar that had himself fooled
I do not fear the unknown but I fear I will never know all
I do not fear the jump but I fear my reliance on the one who was supposed to catch me before I fall
I do not fear reliance or trust but I fear their failure
I do not fear the impact or the past but I fear how much of the good I will remember… will there be enough?
I have a bad memory…so I hope so.

My World
My world. A world that I have created from the sea of tears from my heart, painted the sky with my brush of faith and tangible dreams and then carried all of this onto my sweat covered, free from society, small but strong back, creating a canvas of impossible realities…. Will you follow me? Can you keep up?
In my world....
There is an unbelievable strength in the heart that is reflected through our actions, and an infinite knowledge in our minds that continues to expand with each word spoken.
This knowledge is called intelligence.
This strength is called love.
Combine them and you will not only be able to stand before kings, but rise amongst and against them… and win.
In my world....
Words fail to express the way I feel when your eyes meet mine
I forget myself and drown into this world of perfection you and I have designed
Everlasting paradise and passion filled dreams combined
With infinite possibilities that result in instant realities
In a world....
where fairy tales are merely depicted on a screen too distant from realities touch
In a world where family and values and tradition are priorities and money doesn’t mean that much
In a world where happiness is a goal that can be reached and courage to find it is not breached
In a world where corruption does not lurk at ever doorstep and wire and politicians practice what they preach
This isn’t where I found you.
But I found you.
Amongst a world where life is degraded, taken, manipulated, and translated into classes and colors among the masses
I found a man that makes the world seem softer, kinder, and filled with hope
And when the world really isn’t, he stands next to me and with love walks with me to cope
With the injustices of this world where love isn’t perfect and war is closer to home than being on the news
In a dark dense world where depth and meaning are ancient and life lacks hues
In a world where strong individuals must strive and survive
I found him and he reminds me that he loves me even tho I’m already tough.
I need the reminder of simply being a woman in love and perhaps, sometimes, that is enough.
In my world....
Love creates masterpieces on an everlasting canvas that rises on a cascading stand of overflowing colors… colors that never fade or bleed but that almost dance off the pages in vibrant elegance and deep hues of passion.
In my world....
Love that builds castles on stars and builds constellations in rainbows throughout the darkness of a moonlit night… that builds dreams on broken terrain only to distribute the warmth and reality of a challenge to build a miracle and a success… that builds fairytales into perspective that builds strength out of words and build happiness that can hang on thru the tiniest of strings… that can build a world beyond our imagination by simply building with durable tools, strong hands, and closed eyes that see everything as a possibility.
In my world....
He is the ink that flows thru my pen that allows me to create lyrical verses of poetry so beautifully each word sings to the lyrics to the beat of my heart that he plays with the keys of his piano….
He is my inspiration to be alive in thought and reason all threaded into each passionate breath I take….
He is as real as the words I speak as tangible as the dreams I write, as close to me as the skin on my body that whispers in desire for his touch, as fiery as the blood that courses thru my viens…
In my world.....
Words retain power when actions fail, actions that fail rely on words that will awaken the soul to prevail- a writer a poet a brave heart that beats loud enough for others to hear… but only the good ones can intrigue. Only the good ones can and will force you to listen.
Smart enough to listen stubborn enough to still not agree wise enough to learn prideful enough to never admit careful enough to walk a straight line reckless enough to love freely mature enough to be beyond my years strong enough to know dreams can come true no matter your age..
State of mine is your piece of mind how far do you question your potential before you finally find that you have always been one of a kind before you lost your line of sight in your unbreakable mind….
In my world....
There are infinite possibilities and effortless beauties.

Another Featured Poem By My Husband
I am a poet but not just a poet on the page.
I am a poet on the dance floor with every stroke of my body telling a story about me and who i am.
I a poet of sound. I make music that touch souls and move them to the rythm of my world.
I am a poet of love. Although there is only one that sees the portraits i paint i paint them for her with passion in every stroke of my brush.
I am a poet of life. I live. I live to hear the voice of my wife in the morning i live to hear the beat of every waking moment. I live to dance to the rythem life brings me.
I guess i am just a poet who just doen't live. I write my poem every day as i live it.

Re: Arizona Immigrant Solution
Please help me comprehend this particular logic:
Immigrants are the reasons children do not receive the proper education they deserve? (implicated by the smaller classrooms) Immigrants are also the reason drugs are such a grave problem? ER rooms are clustered with immigrants? I dare say this must be due to overdoses and domestic abuse, correct? Immigrants are the only ones capable of this.
EXPLAIN TO ME, AMERICA!!! What have your foundations, your traditions, your national landmarks been built and constructed upon?? What culture and blood have you bestowed upon this land of the free? What have you to represent the values of this fair country you have built... assuming of course you find me a full blood born American!
On the very land you stand on, on the very water you bathe with, on the very fabric of earth you were on your tainted body.... none of them belong to you, America. They belong to us, the battered and tired backs of your most loyal and foolish servants to believe democracy saves us... your immigrants.
Italians, Spanish, Africans, Chinese..... we are the soil you have decided to spit on the ones that even birthed everything you could have ever dreamed of having... and now we are to blame for your failures? What of your successes? Those you do not hesitate in claiming as your own, right?
Tell me, Arizona. Are your nuclear plants that feed your cancer infested local farmers due to the immigrants? I believe that has Corporate White America all over it.
Tell me, Arizona. Are you implementing fear as a method for power? Sounds like we are back to being niggers and spics and chinks in shackles empowered by our own hunger for a better life.....
We are indeed pathetic, us immigrants. We will wallow in our sorrow, us immigrants. We are foolish so foolish, immigrants.
To have ever believed that we would be any more than their worthless pawns in a game designed for us to always lose and never see it end.
Are we perfect, no. Are we all drug free, no.
We are human.
ANd if you can tell me that history has not shown evil from every race, color, religion, and country..... then perhaps you can tell me why particular groups, will always suffer.
There is no prosperity in seclusion. Perhaps Arizona will see that when 2/3 of its populations becomes deported and the incredible responsibility of working with pride and honor are left to them. Lets see how many will trade in their suits to pick up a mop.
Spineless.

Article: Phoenix Governer claims all State Problems are due to Immigrants
PHOENIX – Gov. Jan Brewer ignored criticism from President Barack Obama on Friday and signed into law a bill supporters said would take handcuffs off police in dealing with illegal immigration in Arizona, the nation's gateway for human and drug smuggling.
With hundreds of protesters outside the state Capitol shouting that the bill would lead to civil rights abuses, Brewer said critics were "overreacting" and that she wouldn't tolerate racial profiling.
"We in Arizona have been more than patient waiting for Washington to act," Brewer said after signing the law. "But decades of inaction and misguided policy have created a dangerous and unacceptable situation."
Earlier Friday, Obama called the Arizona bill "misguided" and instructed the Justice Department to examine it to see if it's legal. He also said the federal government must enact immigration reform at the national level — or leave the door open to "irresponsibility by others."
"That includes, for example, the recent efforts in Arizona, which threaten to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans, as well as the trust between police and their communities that is so crucial to keeping us safe," Obama said.
The legislation, sent to the Republican governor by the GOP-led Legislature, makes it a crime under state law to be in the country illegally. It also requires local police officers to question people about their immigration status if there is reason to suspect they are illegal immigrants, allows lawsuits against government agencies that hinder enforcement of immigration laws, and make it illegal to hire illegal immigrants for day labor or knowingly transport them.
The Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund said it plans a legal challenge to the law, arguing it "launches Arizona into a spiral of pervasive fear, community distrust, increased crime and costly litigation, with nationwide repercussions."
Brewer ordered the state's law enforcement licensing agency to develop a training course on how to implement the law while respecting civil rights.
The bill will take effect in late July or early August.
At the Capitol, some 2,000 protesters booed county Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox when she announced that "the governor did not listen to our prayers."
"It's going to change our lives," said Emilio Almodovar, a 13-year-old American citizen from Phoenix. "We can't walk to school any more. We can't be in the streets anymore without the pigs thinking we're illegal immigrants."
Brewer signed the bill in a state auditorium about a mile from the Capitol complex where demonstrators have protested the legislation since the measure was approved by lawmakers on Monday. Their numbers grew steadily throughout the week, with buses bringing protesters from as far away as Los Angeles.
Brewer, who faces a tough election battle and growing anger in the state over illegal immigrants, said the law "protects every Arizona citizen."
Anti-immigrant anger has swelled in the past month, after rancher Rob Krentz was found dead on his land north of Douglas, near the Mexico border. Authorities believe he was fatally shot by an illegal immigrant possibly connected to a drug smuggling cartel.
Arizona has an estimated 460,000 illegal immigrants, and its harsh, remote desert serves as the corridor for the majority of illegal immigrants and drugs moving north into the U.S. from Mexico.
U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, a Democrat, said he closed his Arizona offices at noon Friday after his staff in Yuma and Tucson were flooded with calls this week, some from people threatening violent acts and shouting racial slurs. He called on businesses and groups looking for convention and meeting locations to boycott Arizona.
The bill's Republican sponsor, state Rep. Russell Pearce of Mesa, said Obama and other critics of the bill were "against law enforcement, our citizens and the rule of law."
Pearce said the legislation would remove "political handcuffs" from police and help drive illegal immigrants from the state.
"Illegal is illegal," said Pearce, a driving force on the issue in Arizona. "We'll have less crime. We'll have lower taxes. We'll have safer neighborhoods. We'll have shorter lines in the emergency rooms. We'll have smaller classrooms."

BITCHES
This blog is dedicated to all the women who have fabulous men and the bitches they went thru to get to us, their final beautiful gems. Oh, yeah, and also disrespectful bitches.... yousa BITCH!!!
**THE EX-FACTOR*** (class 1 bitch)
Lets make this clear from right now
I do not see you as a threat, nor are you even worth a crinkle in my attitude prone brow
If your confused on your lonliness allow me to explain how
You are selfishly vain and you inflicted heartless pain
Your smiles were daggers concealed behind nude lips
Your sex was wack (as I heard you just lay on your back) but you had small hips
Your physique was okay it was more so your friendship that lingered
Which was clearly coveted by envy once he showed you my ring finger
Don't pretend to not see me when you see us together
Because you were friends for soooo long
Lets compare that to our on-going forever
Don't step out of line, I will not tolerate your seemingly simplistic ways
Because babydoll let me break it to you straight, I'm here to stay
I played the same games, honey, you can only go so far
I see you for the BITCH you really are
Don't keep looking for me, because rest assured you will find me
Because no BITCH can defeat the sound of true love's beat.
**THE SIDELINE HOE** (class 2 bitch)
I see you looking at him and me
You saw him once and was instantly intrigued
Your eyes drop to my feet and land on my eyes
Your challenging smile tells me you think you can try and step side
My queen to his king and take over my throne
You must not know that I am also BITCH prone...
Your waist is small & you notice you and him may have something in common
Sense, not being one of them.
Your nonchalant in your plot to get close and attempt to creep
I smile because you are merely a flickering nuisance in my quiet heat
Keep looking and you will find me as your kneeling at my feet
I see you making your way thru the crowd making sure he notices you
Men are so foolish, if only they knew the evil that lurks beneath that hook
He thinks it is innocent, his better nature is compelled to be friendly
I'm smiling, bitch, because I eat a dozen of you daily
I won't raise a hand
I have so much more class than you can even comprehend
You are an amusement to me as I see your hopes of having him as a friend come to an instant end
I merely have to walk near his sideway glance as he catches me in his peripheral vision
Your words are now mute as his eyes are locked on mine
(Allow me to propose a new proposition)
DO not judge by my curves that you are better than me
Slim, thick, talented, funny, married, or free
You will always just simply be
A misplacement in the conversation, a mistake in the social magistrate, a disaster caused by your manipulative glitch
In other words
You will always just be... another bitch.

I am.....
I am quite the simply complicated woman
Whose passion drives her in directions that possibly lead to hell pits
And yet, I always never get it
Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose
I listen to hip hop I think is still new
(and it's not...at all.)
I used to compete in a dance that captured your very heart in my skirt and your sighs for more lingered in my flinging hair
The fire remains and the embers continue to be collected
I write nonsense that people who love me tell me is genius
I am fascinated by makeup and beauty but still thinks she could kick your ass in marvel vs capcom
I adore and love my family and friends as if they were my world... (yes honey, that includes you)
I have no problem admitting when I am a bitch since my tongue seldom stays where it belongs...
(hahah feel free to include a sexual innuendo.. i'm down with that.)
I am a pathetic fool obsessed with disney and the fact that love, true love is eternal
I love debates and find humor in people's ignorance
I pity products of society and hate carbon copies
This poem is probably sloppy!
Peace and love I'm out!

Politics
Hello my name is you and thank you again for you silent consent
It is you who governs my name and who governs the governed
That paycheck you thought you earned?
No, no, it's my fee for your inability to hear speak or see
When it comes to me
I am as green as the dollar you fight and kill for
I am as black as the conscious you once owned before you became my liberal whore
Nigger spic chink cracker guido wetback afghan terrorist towel head you name it
I don't discriminate
Proposition eight? Pass it, for god's sake
It is for god's sake, you realize that right?
No, I'm not telling you who to love I'm just telling you your damned in His light
Oh and PSSSST!!! That also doesn't make you human, so no benefits for you!
President speaks on education and ergo my sheep they are so loyal and always come through
Protesting his positivity, clearly education is irrelevant
It is I who truly work for you, my very international servant
It is game you and I play and either way it is on my very divine word that makes the day
I control your dawn and your white collared night
It is futile indeed to fight since complaints fall on deaf ears and will never unite
Since it is much more important to attend that late night website than go to rally for your rights
I merely dangle the bait and you jump without wondering how deep my hook is
Poverty, drugs, abuse, mental prostitution it is because of you, that is lives
Politics.

Cuba
It is a country dedicated and specifically made for the senses, I believe
It was dipped in spices and tropical aromas to be created
Sun kissed beaches with a history richer than the homemade pastries you can find at every corner
Cuba
Cuba
Cuba
Dancing is like no other
Beauty appears to literally multiply
Cuba
Cuba
Cuba
Militants guard government buildings nearby baseball fields filled with adolescent dreams never to come true
A gun is more tangible to you
Education misrepresentation
Medical unattainable
Residents never precedent
Cuba
Cuba
Cuba
Denial to my visa
I can never see him again
Why would I go to this communistic hell hole
If it were not for them?
Illusion of freedom
Phones that don't really work
Cuba
Cuba
Cuba
Your culture is like no other, exotic and exquisite
Too bad our governments will never let us visit let alone co-exist
